It’s funny, when Brandon and I decided to foster and adopt kids with special needs, we knew that my experience as a special educator and developmental interventionist would help us. Sure, the background in development and assessment has helped me be an informed advocate for my children. I utilize strategies that I used in the field with my kids-with and without success.
